Tignes is of course known as a winter sports destination. But once the snow has melted, green meadows appear below the white snow-capped mountains and the clear blue skies. Some of the highest and most stunning peaks in Europe become accessible, easily by lift within a few minutes or after several days of arduous effort. Tignes has a wide array of sporting and leisure activities in the summer, and you're guaranteed to find peace and quiet, and superb scenery, to be enjoyed at whatever pace suits you. There are no shortage of activities to do in Tignes during the summer; from mountain biking to golfing or summer skiing to beach football, you will also find a lift or activity pass to perfectly suit your requirements. This summer, the glacier will be open for summer skiing from 21/06/08 - 31/08/0/ and the Bike Park will be open from 29/06/08 - 31/08/08.

The Grand Motte glacier and snowpark opens each summer for those of you who can't wait until next winter to get your skis/board back on! This year the opening dates are from 21st June until 31st August 2008.
